Plumbing estimating & takeoff services
Plumbing takeoffs from plans and riser diagrams: fixtures by the each, piping by size and material, insulation, valves, equipment and underslab work all carried separately.
How we estimate plumbing
Plumbing estimates are counts and lengths: fixtures and their carriers by the each, then waste, vent, domestic water, gas and storm piping by diameter and material, with fittings, hangers, valves and insulation carried as their own lines. We measure runs from the plans and check them against the riser diagrams so vertical piping is not missed.
Underslab work, equipment, testing and connections to site utilities at the five-foot line are separated so you can see where labor sequencing and trench coordination with other trades will affect cost.

Specific to this trade
Do you measure vertical piping from the risers?
Yes. Plans show horizontal runs; riser diagrams show the vertical. Both are measured and reconciled so stacks and risers are not under-counted.
How are fittings and hangers handled?
As a stated percentage of pipe length by system, typically 15 to 20% for fittings, with hangers by count from the support spacing in the specification. Both are visible and adjustable on the estimate.
Is underslab rough-in separated from above-slab work?
Always. Underslab work happens on a different schedule, with a different crew and trench coordination. Keeping it separate lets you sequence and price it correctly.
